Frequently Asked Questions
What time do you meet?
Our Worship Experience (the weekly church service) is every Sunday morning at 9:00am and at 10:30am.
What should I wear?
You are welcome to wear anything you want. With the casual atmosphere of Vitalize, most of the people attending wear t-shirts and blue
jeans or shorts. Just wear something!!
What will it be like?
You will walk into a very casual environment at Vitalize. You will be greeted at the door by one of our friendly hosts. You will be offered
a cup of hot coffee, that you can take to your seat with you. You will be in theatre style seating with a large stage up front. The music will
be upbeat and loud--kind of like being at your favorite rock concert. There may even be a fog machine pumping out smoke and a few lights
flashing now and then. You will hear a message from one of our Pastors that is straight from the Bible, but presented in a way that we
can all understand and respond to. We won't ask you for money and won't embarrass you in any way. We just want you to be able to relax
and enjoy your experience!
What do I do with my children?
We have a ministry called vKidz that provides care for children - newborn thru 5th Grade. Click on the vKidz tab above for more info.
Will you ask me for money?
We do not want our first time guest to feel in any way obligated to give. As a church, we do not focus on money. We do believe giving to
God is an act of worship, and the Bible tells us to give cheerfully. So our offering during the Worship Experience is an act of celebration and
we pass glowing green buckets for those who want to give financially during the Worship Experience. We also have a table in the lobby
where people can give as God leads them to give. Although, we don't focus on money, we realize that it takes money to do the things God
has called us to do. We also recognize that God is the one who gives us all that we have and want to be generous in giving back to God
to help meet the needs of our church and community.
What denomination is Vitalize?
We consider ourselves to be non-denominational, but we have Baptist roots. We are connected with and support the work of the
Virginia Baptist Mission Board and the Southern Baptist Convention. These relationships allow Vitalize Church to help see people
everywhere experience life in Christ, through the support of the work and mission of these organizations throughout the world.
God is doing great things and peoples lives are being touched and changed worldwide.
